Enjoy a Lighthearted Distraction with the podcast: "Two Frogs Talkin'"

I don’t know how your year’s been going, but I’m guessing you could use a little distraction.

Not the kind of distraction where you scroll yourself into a thumb cramp or stare at your inbox pretending you’re busy. The good kind. The kind where you sit back, breathe a little, and let somebody else do the talking for a while.

Well… good news. Archie and I are officially doing the talking.

Two Frogs Talkin’ drops tomorrow — June 12 — wherever you get your podcasts and on this site. Yes, that’s the actual title. Yes, we’re technically frogs. No, you do not need to be a frog to listen. But if you are then, hey, glad you could join us.

So what is the concept? Well, it started with our family.

See, Archie and I grew up swapping stories on Maw-maw's front porch. Family tall tales, half-true adventures, weird life lessons dressed up like bedtime stories — you name it. Maw-maw could spin a yarn out of thin air. Honestly, half the reason Archie and I do this is because we miss those nights. This is our version of keeping that tradition alive, even if we’re sitting 2,000 miles apart behind microphones.

We tell stories. Some are true. Some might have started true and wandered off a bit. And some? Some are just the kind of nonsense you only tell when you know the person on the other end won’t judge you for it.

If you’ve ever sat on a porch (literal or metaphorical) and swapped stories with people you love — that’s the vibe. Only with fewer mosquitoes, less humidity, and better acoustics.

Now, without spoiling too much, here’s a little taste of what’s coming:

  • There’s a tornado. There’s also a saddle. And possibly some creative problem-solving.
  • A parrot gets behind the wheel. Kind of. The insurance company doesn’t need to know.
  • Some overly ambitious raccoons crash a camping trip.
  • A toolbox full of helpful little surprises that maybe weren’t so helpful.
  • A giant tortoise with questionable coordination.
  • And, as you’d expect, one or two things we still can’t fully explain.

We also throw in a little philosophy each week — not the heavy kind you need a master’s degree for. The kind you can actually use when your plans go sideways, which let’s face it, happens a lot more often than we admit.

And listen, we’re not pretending this is going to change your life. But it might make your commute feel shorter, your laundry a little more tolerable, or your dog walks a little more entertaining. It's a lighthearted distraction. And if you’re in the mood for that kind of thing — and I’m betting you are — we’d love to have you listen.

Because sometimes the best thing you can do is step off the road for a bit and let two cousins talk nonsense. The kind of nonsense that makes a little bit of sense, once you sit with it long enough.

Two Frogs Talkin’.

Until next time.... Shelly.
